Fosterships
The issues we face will only become “real” if the population at large is confronted “face to face” with other people who live in dire conditions and are subject to the effects of climate change. The concept of fosterships is a perfect instrument to bring climate change, poverty, illiteracy within our Western luxury bubble and give the public at large a tool to do something themselves. Therefore we propose:
Massive injection of effort to start new and support existing fosterships;
Make it socially desirable through a sustained media campaign to support at least one fostership with projects in a developing country;
All schools from rich countries will create a fostership with a school from a developing country;
Footprint of visits of delegations to and fro will be offset by planting trees;
Households from rich countries are to be actively supported in putting up a fostership with a given household in a developing country.
