Guiding Principles
Universal relativism is rejected
Contrary to current mainstream beliefs and correct political thinking the concept of cultural relativism is not considered the road to follow any longer. There are still universal “truths” to be adhered to and to defend, especially in the realm of human rights. Science is a fundamental part in establishing “truths” especially in the realm of finding solutions to the Climate Challenges the world of today is facing. Not all “opinions” should have the same value and weight especially those spread by the scientific incompetent but highly emotionalized public at large through social media.
Human rights still count…
The Universal declaration of human rights especially:
Art.3 Slavery is forbidden (working 10hrs for 6 days/week in sweatshops, quarries, computer assembly plants without earning a decent standard of living, access to medical care,schools = slavery).
Also Art 23. (equal pay for woman)
The protection of Native communities and peoples is to be a priority especially the preservation of the land in its current state they live on. In its quest for richness and expansion man is prone to destroy other cultures. Especially immigrants from Western Europe destroying native North, Middle and South American cultures (Amazon) since 1500 up to this day. No longer economic expansion of any kind be it dam building, deforestation, removal of communities or deplacement in order obtain a financial gain whatsoever or under the cover of a large needed “public” project is to be allowed or condoned or silently accepted as a given fact.
Extended with:
The right to energy. The basic right of people to energy cannot be subject to local “politics” of any sort;
The right to clean water. The basic right of people to drinking water cannot be subject to local “politics” of any sort;
The right and responsibility to live on the Earth in a way that is sustainable for our fellow Earth citizens, all life on Earth and future generations;
The principle that the "Earth” is considered to have the same legal entity as any individual and that thus actions of man should not lead to undoubtedly Earth’s harm;
Equal rights of woman and man;
The rejection of genital mutilation;
Religion to be secularized and subject to the rule of law;
Rule of law based on the guiding principles.
On the nature of man - things that we all have in common
Man needs education, is made to be creative, productive and strives to enjoy life;
Man seeks something to hold on to, needs meaning, purpose that underpins his actions;
Happiness can be found in the “doing” “creating” and “being”, not in the “having”;
Man wants children and loved ones to grow up and live in peace;
Man needs fulfillment of basic needs in order to live a decent life, be creative, learn, share, rest.
Other life forms
Animals (especially vertebrata) should not needlessly suffer and should not be viewed as an industrial source of food to be consumed without restraint.
On democracy
Democracy is not equal to the right of every individual to do or say whatever he/she likes to do and/or say;
Democracy requires responsible behavior of every individual. Responsible behavior is defined as such behavior that takes into consideration that items mentioned above in all aspects of life (production of goods, moderate consumption of those goods etc);
Democracy is not equal to free wheeling economic liberalism and globalization. It takes into account that all is interconnected. If not done so, the “gain” of the one is at the “loss” of the other.
Democracy needs to curb, curtail and control the greed inherent to people who already have a lot and need more and more in order to protect and support their empty ego;
The subsequent paradigm of meritocracy whereby it is up to each individual “to make it” without any social corrections is detrimental to democracy because not everyone had the same “start” in life. It creates a large section of society at the bottom of the latter of survivors barely managing. This results in a smoldering anger that will eventually disrupt the easy way of living of the rich…
And what about our politicians?
Politicians do not serve “the people” by fulfilling every whim “the people” these days display done with the aim to muster “support” for the next election;
The current “bla bla bla” (© G Thunberg) our current politicians display without any shame or restraint and as such not deciding on important matters because they fear they will not be reelected if a sufficient “support base” with the public at large at present illustrates the current system is not working and a new type of government is needed.
Politicians need to govern immune to the violence of the street, the press, the howling lobby groups…
Politicians need to take decisions on the long term for the benefit of future generations. Examples of such “unpopular” measures to be taken will be ample given in the other sections of this pamphlet.
